The Joint Graduate Program in Toxicology is New Jersey's premier source for graduate toxicology education.The Program is a cooperative effort of Rutgers University and the University of Medicine and Dentistry-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and is centered in the Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Institute. The JGPT provides a unique multidisciplinary training environment for students interested in gaining the research tools to serve the evolving needs of academia, industry and government. In addition to strong training in basic toxicological sciences, students can gain specialized training in several areas of emphasis, including biochemical toxicology and xenobiotic metabolism, carcinogenesis, molecular toxicology, cellular toxicology and immunology, neurotoxicology and environmental toxicology. The JGPT allows students to train under the supervision of outstanding mentors using state-of-the-art instrumentation.
