The Resource Center works with EOHSI faculty and staff to develop award-winning curricular materials for K-12th grade and vocational school educators. Lessons, fact sheets, videos and computer software programs provide current and unbiased information on the environmental and occupational health sciences.

Materials are translated from leading scientific research into comprehensive educational programming, promoting decision making, problem solving and critical thinking skills. A science background is not required to use the curricula, as they have been designed for integration into existing math, language arts, health, computer, social studies and science lessons.

All materials are multi-disciplinary and classroom-tested, with many lessons meeting the National Science Education Standards. We have also indexed all lessons to show how they address the New Jersey Department of Education's Core Curriculum Content Standards (CCCS). Contact the Resource Center for your free copy of the Standards Index.

Each module can be used in its entirety as a unit on environmental and occupational health or individual activities can be selected for inclusion in existing programs or courses. While topics are grade-specific, materials can be modified to meet the needs of younger/older students.

Curricula are presented in loose-leaf binders with lesson plans, hands-on activities, a video and/or computer software (where applicable), background materials and masters for student handouts. Lessons include vocabulary words, approximate activity timelines, required materials, topical questions for students, worksheets and lesson objectives, making for powerful learning tools.
